He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead. This incident has cast a pall of gloom over the Congress leaders and workers involved in the event’s preparations. The party has expressed deep grief over the worker’s demise and conveyed its condolences to his family. The organization of this event had been a subject of discussion from the very beginning. According to the initial plan, Rahul Gandhi’s event was scheduled to take place at Dehradun’s Parade Ground, but the administration revoked the permission for the venue. The Congress party had already sent letters regarding the ground booking for July 15, 16, and 17 on July 8th, and had already received permission to book the ground. Congress state president Ganesh Godiyal stated After receiving permission from the district administration, the Congress party not only deposited the ground booking fee but also ordered tents for the event so that they could be set up on time. Nearly 250,000 youth have registered for the “Chhatraon Ki Goonj” program. Therefore, if the government refuses permission to hold the Parade Ground, then Lok Bhavan would be the most suitable venue. “In a democracy, it’s not right to resort to such tactics to stop opposition rallies, but this government believes in dictatorship. If such a decision is made, we will fight it.”
